In 2010 Falmouth Farm Supply Inc. conducted a crop test using Organi-Gro's product Soil Amp. The crop test was conducted on corn and soybeans located in Wayne county, Indiana. The soybean ground was treated with Soil Amp along with numerous herbicides prior to planting. The corn ground was treated with Soil Amp along with numerous herbicides and 28% prior to no-till planting. Pre-plant usage rate used of Soil Amp was 32 ounces per acre.

In regards to the soybean crops, there was a second weed spraying that was required and at that time Soil Amp was added to the herbicide mixed at a reduced rate from the pre-plant which was 20 ounces per acre; thus, two applications of Soil Amp was applied to the soybean test plot. As a result of Soil Amp being applied to the soybean crops, it was found that stronger plant stems and more pods per plant were evident in the eighteen inch planted rows. In addition, previous years corn stalk residue was in a very acceptable and more fibrous deteriorating form due to the application of Soil Amp.  Overall, the use of Organi-Gro's Soil Amp on soybean crops showed a three to five bushel yeild increase at harvest.

As a result of Soil Amp being applied to the corn crops, it was found that the stalk girth was notably larger. In addition, the corn plants that were treated with Soil Amp had larger, wider leafs. The color of the treated leafs were much richer and apparent from a far distance compared to the non-treated corn plants. Also, in the thirty inch planted row, the treated corn showed larger forming ears through all stages of the growing period.  Overall, the use of Organi-Gro's Soil Amp on corn crops showed positive productivity within the plant itself and showed a four bushel yield increase. Also, treated corn grain showed an improved test weight verses the non treated grain at harvest time. After harvest, the corn grains treated with Soil Amp underwent further analysis and it was found that there was an increase in four proteins categories and overall mineral content compared to the untreated corn grains.

In Closing Organi-Gro's Soil Amp product can bring a profit of twenty to thirty dollars per acre if used in addition to current practice. Profits can increase even further if standard practice is trimmed and supplemented with more Organi-Gro products. For a tailored Organi-Gro Program, Please contact an Organi-Gro representative.
